Birthday Weekend Link Up Party

It's time for another fun
Vintage Sheet Blog Weekend Link Up Party!
And, since it's my birthday weekend, things are a little extra festive around here.

The Prize:
I love making buntings. They are easy sewing projects that add a lot of character to a celebration.  I made a special one for our Link Up Party prize. I used 3 different vintage sheets that have light blue, pink, green, white and a touch of yellow.

I make my buntings double sided so they could be hung in a window or across a room. The top is a pink store-bought bias tape. It is 9 feet long.

The perfect birthday for me would be to sleep in until 8 am. Give the kids kisses as the head off to school (my husband got them ready). Go to the gym, come home and sew. Play with the kids and go out to a nice dinner with the family.

The perfect gift given to me has always been a camera - as a child and as an adult.

I was just thinking about making something like this for my daughter's bedroom, so I really hope I win it. It's darling! My perfect birthday would be sleeping until I wake up, enjoying a breakfast made by my kids (ages 7 and 9), playing and sewing the day away, and then all of us going out to dinner. Then after the kids go to bed, my husband and I would watch a movie together or play cards while enjoying some birthday cheesecake. Yum!

I have always thought 4 was the perfect age. My kids were pretty self-sufficient by then but still thought I knew everything and could fix anything. Their personalities were in full bloom and they were fun to take places and do things with. Of course, I still think they are, no matter what age!

My firstborn was due on my 28th birthday, but she decided to make her appearance a week early, so my early 28th birthday gift was the most perfect one I've received...oh yes, and that fabulous 2 ft by 6 ft ironing board cover that I got last year for my 49th...that was pretty good too! :)

Happy Birthday!
Best present was a barbie house when I was 8 from my grandma, 1980.

Best age? I really liked 27, had my first baby, and any year in my 30's. Maybe next year I will say 40.

I love buntings!!! My daughter made a paper Happy Birthday bunting when she was 8... it is still hung for our birthday celebrations (we keep it up for a week or longer). Each square has the Happy Birthday letter in chunky kid hand blocking, coloured in different colours and dots of sequin. It is so stinkin' cute!!!

I think the perfect birthday would be spending time with my dearest friends. Even though I do not like surprises, my BFF and my hubby threw a surprises party for my BIG 50!! It was a very special evening. And I got my BFF back by pulling off a surprise luncheon on HER BIG 50!!

I think when you reach 40 you have more wisdom and still good health to enjoy it :-)

Perfect birthday is spending it with family and friends. Good food also makes a nice birthday!

My perfect birthday would be one that I could share with my family. We're all scattered now {yes, physically AND mentally *lol*} and we haven't all been together for a celebration of any kind for a very, very long time. I have two little nieces and one little nephew... the oldest is eight... and I have never celebrated any event with them - not one single birthday. I can't wait until we're all together!

I don't think there is one perfect birthday age! I think some people enjoy celebrating birthdays, and some don't... so for someone {like me!} that absolutely loves birthdays, every age is the perfect age to celebrate!

The perfect birthday gift? I already received it! My husband knew that growing up, I always wanted a dachshund but was never allowed to have one. For my birthday a few years ago, he gave me the opportunity to get Miss Magnolia Belle, a standard, smooth, red dachshund that we adopted from our local dachshund rescue group. BEST PRESENT EVER!

New to your blog, great giveaway!

A perfect birthday for me is one spent with my twin sister! We are both married, she has children, and we now live many states apart but we've always been together on our birthday! Hopefully we can keep that going... :)

I think the perfect age is 25! BECAUSE.... I'm about to turn 26 and "twenty-six" just sounds so lame! 25 sounds more fun, I will just stay 25, thank you! ;)

The best gift I have ever received was a coffee grinder... I still use that thing every morning!! (oh and sometimes afternoon...) ;)

The perfect age...for me was 50. No small kids, relaxing, and able to do what I want, knowing what I wanted. For the kids - I think about 4 - still so small and so excited by every little joy.

Perfect birthday gift - Every year on my birthday my husband cooks me a special meal (he is a really good cook!) and brings me flowers (not roses - but a bright cheery spring bouquet). I really love that!

My perfect birthday is every one. I celebrate for a whole month and I have friends who indulge me in this. I'm very lucky!

Perfect Age: Not a number, but a level of maturity, wisdom, experience and insight that balances oneself.

Perfect Birthday Gift: Time, time to quilt, sew, quilt, family time, quilt, camping, quilt. Did I mention time to quilt??? LOL

The most perfect birthday gift I think I have given were flowers TO my mom on MY 18th birthday.

I stole this idea from a teacher. In high school my teacher, Coach Mottinger, like most teachers had their stories, and I remember him telling of a time how he bought his mom flowers on his birthday since she was the one who dealt with the pain and suffering of giving birth to him.

The flowers were delivered to her work, and she called me once she received them. She was obviously surprised and at a lost for words since it was literally her birthday...the day she gave birth to me.

I think the perfect birthday for me would have to be having endless funds and going to thrift stores and antique stores and going nuts!

The best birthday i've had is going to a matinee with my 2 little girls to watch Tangled. Then left alone to window shop :) Loved the 'me" time!

I think the best age would have to be 28 or 29. for me, I seem to past the awkward stage and finding out who I am and comfortable too!
