Vintage Sheet Blog
Weekend Link Up Party
It feels like ages since our last Vintage Sheet Blog Weekend Link Up Party. You are going to love this one. Get ready to comment and link up your vintage sheet projects. But first, let's learn about our generous sponsor and our prize.
Our SponsorPattern Like. And, Pattern Like is having a sale through the end of April. Score! Junette lives in Denmark and has been collecting vintage sheets for 3-4 years. She started finding them at flea markets and thrift stores, but now she mostly finds them on the internet.
Junette's store features a large selection of vintage wallpapers that would be great for craft projects
She also has a large collection of vintage fabrics. Most of them are from Europe so they are a little different (and many even more awesome) than the vintage sheets and fabrics we find in the U.S.
One of the things I love the most about our Vintage Sheet Blog readers is the diverse backgrounds. Some are amazing, expert-level sewers. Others, are at the beginner level. But everyone has something to contribute.
Junette says that her sewing skills are very limited, but her mom is very very good. "She has been sewing all her life, and when I was a kid, she sewed most of our clothing. Now she is sewing for her grandchildren."
Junette's blog, Pattern Like, is full of fun creations from Junette and her mother. She says, "My mother and I make a very good team, with her sewing skills and my background as a print/pattern designer. My favorite things to design are quilts, pillows and pencil cases for children (or for crazy color lovers like myself)."Look at these fun collages of Junette and her mom's creations as well as some fun pictures from around her colorful home.
Junette loves the Vintage Sheet Blog. She says, "I find it very inspiring to see what can be made from vintage sheets. Especially clothing because that is something I never will get the skills to do myself."
Junette and Pattern Like is giving one lucky random winner 36 FQs of vintage fabric!
The fabric is mostly European and in all the colors of a rainbow. The prize also includes a panel of fabric with her own drawings printed at Spoonflower. The drawings are inspired by vintage drawings and mix well with vintage sheet fabric.
Think of all the fun projects you could create with all that fun fabric.
