Vintage Sheet Dog Scarf

Everything looks better in vintage sheets, even Corgis. I made a quick little scarf for my sister's dog, Kinsey. Make your own doggie scarf.

You'll need:
  • A square piece of fabric (mine was 11"), torn to make sure it is a real square.
  • A piece of elastic (1/2-1" wide, 3-5 inches long)
  • Scissors, pins, sewing machine, thread

Step 1:
Fold right sides together and pin. Mark each side with a pin 1 1/2" from the edge.

Step 2:
Sew sides, leaving at least a 1/4" seam allowance, starting and ending at marking pins.

Step 3:
Remove pins and turn rightside out from either of the open sides.
Step 4:
Tuck the elastic into one open end along with 3/8" of the fabric.
Step 5:
Topstitch elastic in place.
Finish:
Repeat on other side.

Now, place on dog and let her model her new outfit.
Warning: Other dogs may be jealous. Daisy wanted her own vintage sheet dog scarf.
I hope you enjoyed this little mini tutorial. There are lots more tutorials in the tutorial section of the blog. Which is your favorite?

This is soooo cute! I'll have to make one for my dog but in something more masculine as my dog is a boy. I have not come across too many masculine vs. They are mostly in soft colors and floral :)
