My niece just turned 11. We had a little sleepover party with some of her bffs. When I think "slumber," I think sheets. So . . . all the decorations were inspired by vintage sheets.
The Invitation
I went into a little more detail here, but basically it is a cardstock tag with a mini pillow and pillowcase.
The Party Favor
We bought white pillowcases, journals, and flip flops for the girls to decorate. Additionally, I made eye masks for each girl. I used this awesome pattern and tutorial.
Table Runner
Plan "A" was a tacky pink plastic table cover. Bo-ring. So, I made a table runner to go the length of the dining room table.
Breakfast
The girls loved pancakes, juice, bacon, and fresh fruit in the morning.
The Bunting
I used the pink striped flannel from the mini pillows and more vintage sheet awesomeness to make a party bunting. It was a day-before-the-party project so when I figured out I didn't have binding or time to make scratch binding. Luckily I had pink grosgrain ribbon the exact length I need.
The Birthday Girl
Yep, she's a silly 11 year-old. She wanted to pose with her eye mask. No one really got a lot of sleep at the party but they were surrounded by cozy and cute sheets.
Thank you for stopping by the blog today. I have like 3 posts in the works right now. Stay tuned. :)
