For the past few weeks two years I've been busy coordinating a big service project at my church. We are sewing pillowcases as part of the Million Pillowcase Challenge. I'm really excited about the project and am hoping that a lot of ladies (and young ladies) will come and participate.

I made a gazillion invitations hoping all the ladies would take extras for their friends (the more the merrier, right?) but I ended up with lots of extras.
My little invites were inspired by the super cute tags made by Jaime from
Raising Up Rubies. She makes/sells the cutest things.
My niece helped my stamp the fun images on the fronts and backs. We used different color inks and different images to mix it up.

I also used different vintage sheet scraps and cupcake wrappers.

If you are in/near Orange County, California Tuesday night and want to help sew pillowcases, email me for details. We are going to eat dinner and then get to work. Lots of ladies (young and older) don't know how to sew so I will be matching them up with seasoned sewers.

I'm used to chopping up pillowcases, not creating them so it should be fun. The pillowcases will be donated to local charities that help needy children. Most likely they will go to help children with cancer or foster children.
Thanks for stopping by the blog today. Oh, and if you have a little time this weekend, stop by
Jaime's blog. She has a little giveaway.
