I love your submissions. VSB reader, Erica
Wolterman shares a cute dress that she made for her darling 5 year-old daughter from a vintage shower curtain (a shower curtain is basically a sheet for your bathroom, right?)
She used Simplicity pattern (1722). She says, "The dress came together really
easily and since it is a "learn to sew" pattern it had great detail.
I didn't have biased tape so
I used some ribbon and instead of a bow at the collar I
used a flower button. I also avoided having to make a hem but using the
existing one from the curtain!
"My daughter loves this dress and I
cant wait for warmer weather so she can wear it all the time to play!" Erica plans to use the leftover fabric for place mats and napkins.
