Ruffled Doll Quilt, part 2

My niece's birthday is on Christmas day but her party is this weekend. After seeing my other niece's new doll blanket, she asked me to make her one in purple. So, guess what I made yesterday.

~Purple Baby Doll Quilt~

I pretty much made it similar to the one I made for niece 1. This time I used strips of the same vintage sheet (the only purple sheet in my stash-note to self, buy more purple sheets).

I also added a zig zag stitch on the purple seam binding. And, I kept the ruffle stitches in instead of removing them.

Do you remember the fabric alphabet letters I made? I forgot to make the L which is really lame because my niece's name starts with an L. And, in the photo that I took outside on a super windy day, the J was flipped over. Pinterest comments were not so nice :( Well, guess what I made. . .

An L!!!!

I guess I somehow missed the first quilt, but this one really caught my eye. I love the ruffles, and I'm bookmarking this one for later!
