Fat Tuesday Fat Quarters Projects

It's Fat Tuesday so how about some fun projects we can make with a fat quarter?

Remember, a fat quarter is a piece of fabric which measures 18 inches x 22 inches. You can make your own fat quarters or purchase fat quarters cut from new or upcycled fabric.

Let's Party!

This garland would make a fun photo backdrop or a cute window covering.

Fat Quarter Baby and Kid Projects

My best friend is expecting a baby boy in a couple weeks so I'm all about the baby projects right now. I LOVE the Bapron, it's a a bib/apron.

This is the soon-to-be big sister. She's holding the ruffled doll quilt that I made for her.
They always say that you can't have enough burb cloths. I'll have to take "their" word for it, but, I think that these would make a practical gift.

My oldest niece was given a crayon roll a few years ago from a family friend and she loves it. I love this one made from vintage sheets. Using a neutral or bolder colored sheet would be a great sewing project for boys.

New Fabric Fat Quarter Inspiration

I have a few projects on my to-do list that I've found using new fabric. It has been pretty chilly here so I'm loving this scarf made from two coordinating fabrics.
Aprons make a great hostess gift. When I'm not sewing vintage sheets (or blogging about it), I'm baking in a cute apron. I love this cute pattern for an apron from a fat quarter.

Fat Quarter Projects for the Home

I've shared these before but I love the shabby chic non-matchy napkins made from different vintage sheet fat quarters.
Probably the most common use of vintage sheet fat quarters is quilts. This is a cute baby quilt using squares cut from fat quarters.

 Fat Quarters For the Dogs

Even the pets love items made from fat quarters. I made this scarf for my sister's corgi. I call her Big Mama.

Do you have a favorite? What do you like to make with fat quarters?

Thank you for stopping by the blog today. I'm finally over my cold that kept me from blogging for the past few weeks. I'll be posting some fun projects soon.
