I've been busy making gifts for friends and family. Here's what I've done so far.
Pokemon PillowcaseI whipped up this Pikachu pillowcase for my niece who loves Pokemon. I used the Roll It Up Pattern from All People Quilt.
Button Ponytail HoldersPonytail holders are a fun stocking stuffer and a great use for scrap fabric. I used some satin and a cotton polka dot (not pictured.)
Christmas Chalkboard Printable
I created my first chalkboard printable for a secret Santa this year. Download it for free.
Lego Soap Pump
No, this is not for my little brother. I made my dad a Lego soap dispenser. I found the idea here.
I could probably make pillowcase aprons in my sleep. I always use Betz White's tutorial but use quilters binding for the ties.
Santa Candy Jar
I keep seeing these fun candy jars all over Pinterest. I don't drink soda so I had to use a soup can pop top for the belt buckle. Oh well, I think the See's candies inside will make up for it.
Super Girl Capes
Two of my niece's have been through a lot over their young lives. They are truly "super girls." I made them capes with their initials.
I have one more present in the works. I'm making an Anna cape for another niece. She's a big fan of the movie Frozen.
UPDATE: I made the Anna Cape.
I didn't have a pattern so I just made one up. It's two layers and it connects with a pretty gold closure.
I love the pom pom fringe and the decorative ric rack.
You may have noticed that I used the same pink satin in the super girl capes. I used less that 2 yards for 3 capes.
Good thing I love all my nieces. :)
